We learnt to have FUN!

The Combined Training on Sunday 5th July 2009 was a lovely afternoon, with riders doing dressage in the indoor school at Dryden before going down to Haughhead for their jumping round.

The P7 class with 75cm jumping was won by Andy Podgson on Dryden’s ‘Rick’ – Ann Cranston, who very kindly judged the dressage, described Andy’s dressage test as “stunning”. Andy then went on to produce an immaculate show jumping round to win the class. Janet Elliot followed in 2nd place with ‘Mighty Mo’ and Tracey Mackay was 3rd.

1. Andy Podgson 24.0
2. Janet Elliot 30.0
3. Tracey Mackay 32.5
4. Kayleigh 36.5
5. Alex Clarkson 38.0
6. Izzy Orr 47.5
7. Hazel Mackenzie 48.5

HC Carole Gerrard 26.5

The N28 with 85cm jumping might have been a small class but it was hotly contested, with Heather Garner taking 1st place on Dryden’s ‘Cheesy’, closely followed by Carole Gerrard on a much more settled ‘Ruby’.

1. Heather Garner 28.4
2. Carole Gerrard 30.

These scores will be taken forward to count towards each combination’s standings in the overall Dryden League. The second league event will take place on Sunday 2nd August and the third and last event will take place on Sunday 6th September. Entries for both events are now open – see summer programme of events section for details.
